    1. Christy, thank you so much, I’m honoured that you came to check out my artwork – I’ve been drawing and writing since I can remember, and both have shared equal time in my passions over the years. I long to see those mountains again, too :)

    1. Thank you so much, Lena, I’m happy that you like my art, especially since it is so very different from your own incredible abstract creations. Thanks for stopping by to see them, my dear friend. :) xox

    1. LOL, thank you, Marc! Most of these are either sold or in my own home. I decided to post my artwork here because I’ve been unable to draw or paint for the last couple of years due to my health conditions – I want to keep them in view so that when my body decides to cooperate, I’ll be ready and motivated … in the meantime, writing is my other passion; and as long as I can still write, I’ll be writing. I’m so glad you like these, thank you. ~ Julie :)

  1. Julie, I love your poetry so much that I’ve ignored your art, but, as would be expected, Ethel has not. You did not have any new poetry that I could find tonight, unfortunately, so clicked here and got a look at your art. Like Ethel you are a talented artist as well as poet.

  2. These are really, really beautiful! I am envious. I’ve always wanted to draw. Even my stick figures need serious help. :)

You have a wonderful talent. it is so good to see you have found it and are utilizing it to the best of your ability. So many people never find their talent. Others squander theirs. Keep up the good work!

    1. Jenny, thank you so much; and I’m delighted to meet you! I’ve just been to visit your beautiful blog, and am now following you, and adding you to my blog roll so that others can also visit. I look forward to exploring your works often. ~ Julie :)

  3. I love your trees and the way you draw the feathery leaves. Even your Ontario Industrial is nice to look at! All of them are beautiful. Thank you so much for this peaceful break from the day.

  4. Miss Pixy, Your charcoal Victorian Christmas, has a real Currier and Ives flavor to it. I am vaguely envious of your skill but only vaguely. I am so happy you have multiple avenues of expression. We are all increased by your creations.

    1. Richard, how wonderful for you to stop by and visit my artwork, thank you so much, my friend! I have not been able to draw for well over a year now because of my left arm (yep, I’m a southpaw), but Lena suggested I post these for inspiration when the old arm decides to cooperate, lol. I’m so glad that you like my artwork. ~ Julie :) xox

  5. Brilliant! Detailed. I feel like i’d like to visit the houses, swoon through the valleys and peaks. OMG, you are marvelous!!!! Much love to you AND encouragement. xoxo melissa

    1. Thank you so much, Melissa, for such lovely comments, and for your encouragement – they are so much appreciated. I’m so glad that you enjoy my artwork. I love drawing old houses, places tucked away in the country, and all kinds of architecture. Love and hugs to you also. ~ Julie :) xox

        1. Caddo, you do not give yourself enough credit – your writing skills are awesome, as I’m sure your cooking is. I love to cook also; it’s kind of difficult now, cooking for one and not being able to eat the way I would like to with IBS, but I still enjoy making myself special meals that I can handle, when I’m able. And you can talk my ear off anytime – you’re a wonderful and fascinating friend! ~ Love, Julie xox

  6. Julie, I’m sorry I haven’t looked at your art before, but here I am now and your art is truly amazing! Your talents don’t end with writing, I see….Drawing is not my forte, so I’ll have to stick to poetry! Absolutely wonderful! xx

  7. I am in awe of you, my dear. Your artwork is stunning. Have you won any awards for your work? Do you ever showcase them in shows? If not, you should. Beautiful. Simply breath-taking.

  8. Julie!! Your work is uh-MAZING! I am so impressed. As the sister to an awesome artist, I know whereof I speak…your diversity is remarkable, and precision, as well. Love the leap from pencil & pastel to Technicolor Dreamcoat digital!!

I have a page of my late sister’s stuff called: Gallery, if you ever want to search it at my site. You would like it, I think.

    1. Karen, thank you so very much for taking time to visit my artwork, and for your lovely comments. My left arm and hand are giving me major difficulties from arthritis pain and I’ve not been able to do the detailed pencil work for a couple of years – hence the migration to digital art. Your sister’s work is amazing, too! :)

  9. Hi Julie,
I’ve come to look at your artwork again, and I love it. My favorite are pencil and ink or charcoal black and white drawings, but all your work is beautiful and just filled with heart and soul, The digital work that doesn’t usually speak to me is so warm, as if you’ve painted it on canvas. And I really admire your attitude: you cannot draw temporarily – you go digital. Truly inspirational.

    1. Sasha, that means a lot to me, thank you so much for your lovely comments. I find that if I try to work with and around my disabilities, it’s much more positive than trying to fight them all the time – and not quite so exhausting, lol. There is absolutely no way I can’t NOT create … something … I think creativity is embedded in my genes, hehehe. I really appreciate that you enjoy my artwork. ~ Julie :) xoxox

    1. Sasha, I’ve never even thought about that … I think it’s a great idea and must give it some thought – thanks so much for taking the time to share the inspiration with me! :)

  10. Julie, I want to apologize if I offended you in any way by my previous comment here. Certainly wasn’t my intention. You talk openly about the difficulties you go through, and I do find this openness as inspirational as your poetry or art. Still, I might have somehow crossed the line. I’m truly sorry.
    Sasha

    1. Oh my dear, I did not take any offense at all – in fact, I think it’s a great idea, although I’m not sure if I could do it justice, lol. Please forgive me for the late reply – I missed your earlier comment because I was in the hospital and then dealing with further health issues .. I talk openly because I’m sure there must be people dealing with similar issues; and if I can motivate or inspire them to continue creating within their passions, I’m truly honored to try to be of help to them. I love your idea, Sasha, and you did not cross any lines … I’m grateful for your presence on my blog, my friend! ~ Love and hugs, Julie xoxox
